Transformational leadership training for Khalti

In Khalti, team leaders attended a "Transformational Leadership" training facilitated by Mr. Anil Kesary Shah, organized by Academy of Capacity Development of Nepal.

It was remarkably insightful training where all our team leaders learned from one of the influential CEOs of the banking and finance industry in Nepal.

He enriched the session with leadership skills, and inspiration to become a role model, understanding the strengths and weaknesses of the team members and optimizing their performances accordingly. Furthermore, as a part of the session, participants worked in groups to develop solutions to various scenarios in an organizational setting.

Lastly, this one-day session emphasized how individuals can inspire followers to perform beyond their perceived abilities and become the best versions of themselves. Your actions can make a valuable difference in the world around you.

workshop on Environment and Social Risk Management

The banking industry in Nepal is facing mounting pressure to meet fast-changing demands in #environmental , #social , and #governance (#ESG) issues. The #ESRM guidelines 2022 issued by Nepal Rastra Bank calls for greater transparency and disclosure of ESG-related data.

To meet these expectations, banks must adapt their IT systems to systematically collect, aggregate, and report on a broad range of ESG data. However, many financial institutions still do not have a comprehensive approach to integrating ESG data into their existing #risk reporting.

Moving toward this goal will require significant changes to the IT infrastructure, from applications to data integration, architecture, and governance. New applications include not only the management and capture of ESG data but also financed emissions models, climate risk models, ESG scorecards, climate stress tests, and climate-adjusted ratings.

After all, the banks and financial institutions are ascribed a crucial role in the #sustainable transformation of the economy.

ACDN organised a workshop on Environment and Social Risk Management on 26th May 2023. The workshop was facilitated by a director of Nepal Rastra Bank and an Environment and Social Safeguard Specialist.

Moving toward this goal will require significant changes to the IT infrastructure, from applications to data integration, architecture, and governance. New applications include not only the management and capture of ESG data but also financed emissions models, climate risk models, ESG scorecards, climate stress tests, and climate-adjusted ratings.
